Joey Waronker is an American drummer most notable for his work with Beck, but was also a session drummer on The Smashing Pumpkins album Adore and toured with R.E.M. after the departure of Bill Berry. He also worked with Ima Robot for a short period of time. His first professional project was the Saint Paul, Minnesota indie group Walt Mink in the early 1990s. He is the son of record producer Lenny Waronker and grandson of record executive Simon Waronker.

Although he only contributed to 3 songs on Adore, Waronker was invited to become the band's full-time drummer (at least for that album's tour) but declined as his financial requests were not met.
