Fortinbras is a play by American playwright Lee Blessing. Set immediately following William Shakespeare's Hamlet, the play recounts the events after Hamlet's death that go on throughout Elsinore. The play includes almost every character from Hamlet returning as a ghost.
Reviews of productions in 2008 note that it can be seen as a parody of the administration of George W. Bush; Fortinbras, who becomes King upon Hamlet's death, is dimwitted and justifies his policies with "because I said so" logic.[source]
