Mur (river)

Mura river, the subsidiary of bigger Drava and Danube - (Dunav)river has its source in Austrian national park Hohe Tauern - (Visoke Ture).The source is on 1898 m above the see level.Its total length is 438 km, 295 km in Austria and 70 km as the border line with Austria and Hungary. The mouth of it is near Legrad in Podravina region of Croatia where flows into Drava river.It hashave been known to cary small quantities of gold, however not suitable for exploatation.
