Double Jeopardy is the fourth studio album from singer Akon.[1] The album has no set release date but Akon confirmed that the album is finished.[1]

Background

Akon confirmed to MTV that his fourth album, Double Jeopardy is already finished and could be ready to be released within 30 days.[1] He further explained stating, "I'm already on it. It's all set up. If they want all the records now, it would take me 30 days to put it together."[1]

Music

Concept

Like many sequential albums, Akon started his series with Trouble, then Konvicted, followed up with Acquitted and eventually Double Jeopardy. Akon is using the sequence of a trial or conviction from a crime. Since Akon has confirmed his fourth album to be named Double Jeopardy, it would be routine for the following album to continue the sequence unless he is found "guilty" after Double Jeopardy.
