editUser:Materialscientist Why did you literally block and revert every single current contribution I had?
- When you change information without any reference or explanation, we can't tell if your contributions are a genuine update or vandalism - both happen in other topics every minute. Other editors repeatedly tried to tell you that on this page, maybe in a somewhat automated way, you don't seem to read the comments and adjust your editing pattern. User:Materialscientist, I just want to clarify that I “never” intend to vandalize Wikipedia in any way, shape, or form. I can’t just put like over a thousand sources on a page as that will literally ruin things. I just try to put the “most accurate” information as per the website, if applicable. But some of the reversions on some articles now show it being inaccurate. So these are”genuine updates”.
- Thanks, I do appreciate your note. Materialscientist (talk) 04:28, 23 February 2023 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Wcquidditch. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, WKPQ, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 09:25, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at WKGO, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 17:09, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to KABQ-FM. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted or removed. editHello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 00:06, 1 March 2023 (UTC)

- Sorry, I had to remove it since I suspected it to be inactive as the radio stream is now a playlist similar to that subchannel. This is somewhat part of the process of Audacy removing HD2 and HD3 subchannels that Radioinsight.com has mentioned and fybush.com also reporting some across the northeast.
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to WUSN, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. editHello, I'm Actualcpscm. I noticed that you recently removed content from Template:Classic Rock Radio Stations in Oklahoma without adequately explaining why. Edit summaries
editUnfortunately, in parallel with your edits, we are dealing with other IPs who are visually doing the same thing: changing something in radio station articles without any explanation or justification: changing station name, removing images and references, changing valid stream channels to other channels, etc. We do know that some of those changes are not constructive (basically trying to hijack a page). We can't easily see which IP is "good". Please do use edit summaries. You can prepare some templates and copy/paste with your edits. This would be a good start. Materialscientist (talk) 00:34, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- Ok, I’ve started putting edit summaries in most of the reverts. 65.28.77.182 (talk) 00:36, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
Second, do cite references. You take your information somewhere, I guess from some obscure subpage of the the station website. If you cite that subpage, then we can quickly verify your edit. Random example: [1] "The HD2 format changed" - said who? said where? Materialscientist (talk) 00:38, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- In that case, with simulcasts containing another station article, it would make sense for it to say Spanish conservative talk radio on it and the article, rather than sports and later finding it saying Spanish conservative talk on the article. 65.28.77.182 (talk) 00:42, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- Try to put yourself in our place (Wikipedia moderators): we are seeing a random change without a reference. It could be vandalism/WP:OR, revert of vandalism/WP:OR, or a genuine update. Statistically, first scenario is most common. Materialscientist (talk) 00:46, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- This is still block evasion by Special:Contributions/136.34.132.39, who was likewise geolocating to Kansas City, interested in radio topics, and was also warned for the absence of edit summaries.[2] Our friend from Kansas City is under the misapprehension that every Wikipedia article should be accurate about the topic, including very recent changes. Instead, Wikipedia articles—all of them—should be a summary of published descriptions of the topic. If there are no published descriptions of radio station format changes, or of call letters, slogan or broadcast technology changes, then Wikipedia is not concerned. . Lourdes 10:54, 12 June 2023 (UTC)- If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.
- Until you confirm that you will start putting only cited content (see WP:V), your block will remain (for six months). Please confirm you will not put unsourced information again. Our editors do not have the time to keep checking multiple unsourced content for their validity. Thank you, Lourdes 10:55, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- So the main reason why I am making those edits is because one IP tends to put the website and webcast as the same thing despite there being a separate webcast. Another reason is that I am adding and/or updating the affiliation(s) of the particular station in which the programming is coming from. I’ve also been making some Manual of style fixes in the process whereas genres aren’t capitalized and state and territory names aren’t separate from City names when used in conjunction. Another thing that I’m doing is fixing redirects. Radio articles seem to fall under this category. But most recently, these reverts I recently made were because of Materialscientist’s rollbacks. It’s worth noting that he may be an administrator, an edit filter manager, an autopatrolled user, and a checkuser, but he is not a rollbacker. But looking at pretty much all reverts, they are tagged rollback and the same reason on every single one in which it may not necessarily be of that. I’m guessing rollbacks are those who are blocked? But I should probably refrain from making unnecessary changes. 65.28.77.182 (talk) 12:58, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- Noted your response. Thanks. Here, we cannot add unsourced information. You are making too many edits without referencing. Sorry, but that can't continue at all. You can use the instructions given in the warning message above to request for an unblock going ahead. Another administrator will assess your reasoning -- but non-negotiable will be referencing. Thank you, Lourdes 17:32, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- Alright. I also wanted to add on to show the bad practice that I have experienced between the admin user. Here’s the main reason. They reverted WOMG and had a reasonable explanation and a message about it on my talk page. But to go further, they proceeded to revert every single of my current edits with the edit summary of “unsourced, unexplained changes” or just “unsourced”. I may have the bad habit of “no edit summary”, but should really try to get better at that. Here’s an example of just that and I am curious about is this. What’s unsourced in here that actually shows that it actually broadcasts a religious format? 65.28.77.182 (talk) 02:03, 13 June 2023 (UTC)

- Sundayclose, this is not required. Your tone needs to be better here. I would suggest either delete the post or scratch the aggression.
- Dear IP user, I would suggest read up on WP:RS and WP:V. You will understand what is meant by citing sources and why sources need to be reliable. If you have read these and are ready to have every edit stick likewise, let us know by using the instructions provided in the block notice. Thank you, Lourdes 05:46, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
