'''Francisco "Paco" Luis CanalesCañales''' (born 20 July 1957) is a [[Puerto Rico|Puerto Rican]] former [[Swimming (sport)|swimmer]] who competed in the [[1976 Summer Olympics]]. After his Olympic career, Francisco CanalesCañales was educated and trained at two of the most prestigious academic institutions in the country: Harvard College and Stanford University. He is currently a plastic surgeon in Santa Rosa, CA. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors at Harvard College in 1978, he then completed his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1982. Dr. CanalesCañales was particularly interested in plastic surgery and elected to take on additional surgical training and received a Plastic Surgery Residency at Stanford University Hospital.
 
Dr. CanalesCañales now lives in Santa Rosa, CA. He and his wife, Heather Furnas, own a private practice together called Plastic Surgery Associates. Their practice has won the Press Democrat Award of "Best Plastic Surgeons in Sonoma County" three years consecutively, including this year's 2015 award. They have two kids: Diego CanalesCañales, the elder child, born December 16th 1991 in Boston, Massachusetts. Diego is a Stanford graduate, currently pursuing a career in computer science. Siena CanalesCañales, the younger child, was born December 1st 1993 in Santa Rosa, California. She is now a student at Harvard University concentrating in the History of Science.
