These wars slowly decreased and for three years the article was almost free of these petty wars and a version that was accepted by both sides became stable. :I am not against a longer version, but not in this Wikipedia entry. I am also definitely not advancing a POV. Please see my post above with references to encyclopedias, popular books and textbooks. I don't think I could find a single one that mentioned any nationality dispute, which however is sometimes mentioned in very history-specific books. In other words, everything else about Copernicus is much more important. IMO the debate is also important, but I propose putting it in a separate article as previously proposed by Walkee and Nihil novi.
