[[Mihalis Kakogiannis]] directed the production and [[Boris Aronson]] designed the sets, costumes, and lighting. The original production was received with luke warm reviews by critics. After not being performed for almost four decades, a revised version of the opera premiered much more successfully at the [[Seattle Opera]] on October 18, 2003.
