CrossAsia has been created and is being supported and supervised by the East Asia Department of the [[Berlin State Library]] being the responsible library within the special subject fields programme 6,25 of the [[Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft| German Research Foundation]] (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft).
