It also passes through [[Medjimurje]] ([[Medjimurska zupanija]]), dividing [[Croatia]] from [[Slovenia]]. In the area of ''upper Međimurje'', in the western part of the region, the Mura floods and change its course rather often, moving slowly toward the north on its left.
