The current cabinet was formed inon August11 September 2024, followingreplacing the appointment of Morgan as First Minister. This cabinet would be an interim cabinet continuing from the previous [[Gething government]]. Cabinet secretaries and ministers were known as ministers and deputy ministers respectively before 2016, and under Mark Drakeford from 2018 to 2024.
