US Wharton took the 6th NCB to the New Hebrides in august 1942, not the 7th. The 6th NCB and CUB One were the first echelon of LION One to be shipped there. The 7th NCB did not move from Samoa to the New Hebrides until January 1943. |

On 6 January 1942, the transport sailed from the [[U.S. West Coast|west coast]] for her first wartime voyage to the [[Hawaiian Islands]].
