The '''Kuttippuram Bridge''' is a bridge which connects [[Kuttippuram]] with [[Tavanur]]-[[Ponnani]] region in [[Malappuram district]], [[Kerala]], [[India]]. It is one of the largest bridges over the [[Bharathappuzha]], which connects [[Malabar District|Malabar region]] with [[Travancore-Cochin]] region. It is a part of the [[National Highway 66 (India)|National Highway 66]] on the [[Kozhikode]] - [[Kochi]] route.<ref name="kb"/> Before that, [[Kozhikode]] and [[Kochi]] were connected via [[Shornur]].<ref name="kb"/>
 
On May 8, 1949, the then Minister of Public Works of the [[Madras State|Madras]] Government, [[M. Bhaktavatsalam]], laid the foundation stone for the Kuttippuram Bridge.<ref name="kb"/> The Modern Housing Construction and Properties (MHCP) Ltd. based in [[Chennai]] built the bridge.<ref name="kb"/> The bridge was inaugurated on November 11, 1953 by the Minister of Public Works, [[Shanmugha Rajeswara Sethupathi]].<ref name="kb"/> The main architect of the bridge was K. V. Abdul Azeez from [[Ponnani]].<ref name="kb"/> The chief engineer for the construction of the bridge was W. H. Nambiar and the Superindent engineer was P. T. Narayanan Nair.<ref name="kb"/>
