Before the [[Pickleball]] craze hit the USA, Wuerffel was one of the first celebrity players trying to grow the game. In 2022, Wuerffel hosted his first Picklebowl tournament, a play on the [[Super Bowl]] , the event is a [[Celebrity]] [[Pro–am]] , where a [[Professional sports|Professional]] plays with celebrity from their [[Alma mater]].
