His secondsophomore studio album [[Manando (album)|''Manando'']] (2017), was met with critical acclaim the title referring to his late high school friend. His thirdsecond albummixtape ''DIY 2'' was released in 2018. After departure with his former record label, he then established his own record label Emtee Records.

In 2010, Emtee collaborated with South African rapper Maraza on a song titled "In It To Win It".
