While this approach is still alive and has its role, Ethiopian and Eritrean studies has opened to a wider concept that tries to avoid a bias in favour of the Christian Abyssinian culture ([[Amhara people\|Amhara]], [[~~Tigray-~~Tigrinya people\|Tigrinya]]; ''cf''.
