Oleg Bodrug was born on 23 February 1965 in the city of Chisinau. He graduated from the Faculty of Physics at the [[Moldova State University|State University of Moldova]] and the Polytechnic Institute of [[Saint Petersburg|St. Petersburg]]. Oleg Bodrug is a member of [[Union of Journalists of Moldova]] and has been the director of "Prut Internaţional" Publishing house since 1992. He has been a member of the [[Parliament of Moldova]] since 2009.
