Your edit to Lucky Number Slevin
|rowspan="2" style="vertical-align: middle; padding: 5px;" |
You put this revert in a while ago. The plot is intricate and the old version had issues. I looked for an explanation of the revert but there's none in the edit summary and the version you reverted to contained issues that were fixed but then undone by the revert.

Hi. I'd like to let you know that Danny DeVito also did the voice of the narrator in Matilda. I have seen that you have made edits to the T.S. Eliot article before. I am interested in your comments on a recent change. A recent sub-section about the sculptor Jacob Epstein was made to the T.S. Eliot article. I deleted the addition and explained my reasons on the talk page.
I hopefully fixed the link. Could you please look again?

Hi, I'm just wondering if you were aware that another editor changed your closure request at WP:ANRFC? I'm bringing it to your attention because not only did I not see anything wrong with the way you worded it in the first place, or that it was changed apparently without asking you first, but also because I don't think the change is supported by any policy or guideline. In fact, guidelines basically prohibit changing other editors comments unless they are gross violations, such as vandalism, copyright or BLP violations. Anyway, I'll leave it with you. - <span style="text-shadow:#E05FFF 0.2em 0.2em 0.5em; class=texhtml">the<big><em style="font-family:Matisse itc;color:red">WOLF</em></big><small>child</small></span> 22:51, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Wikipedia articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.

Hi, thanks for commenting on my talk page about changing the genres of films. You first left me a message about The Silence of the Lambs. After receiving your message, I accepted my mistake and have since adjusted my behavior. I just received a second message from you about a similar change I had made to Donnie Darko, in which you threatened to block me. However, the change I made to the Donnie Darko page was BEFORE your first message. You're threatening to punish me for something I did before I was even warned that my behavior was wrong. Please be reasonable about this. I've accepted my mistake, don't threaten me for past actions that I can't do much about. == Losing Ground/no actors in plot ==
Hi, sorry to bother you here, but I wasn’t sure that if I tagged you on a post that you had not contributed to, that you’d see it. On this page for this movie Losing Ground I’ve removed actor names from plot, making no other changes, and my changes are being reverted, even though I cited my sources. Could you check out that movie page when you get a chance, and lend your expertise to support not having actors in the plot to the user that keeps reverting? Assuming your seniority might be seen as more credible.

I have discussed with BattleshipMan about this issue you to seem to having. BattleshipMan has brought up that you have a history of removing these "minor characters", which from what I can see is true. He has stated that this is irritating and gives off an impression that you are trying to completely dominate and own the page your way, which I'm sure is not your intention, but may sometimes come off as ignorance. Regardless of my feelings on the matter, I believe you two should find common ground on the casting section of Die Hard and stop having this little spat in the talk page. == Ruthless People ==
Greetings sir. I know I'm speaking against my own revision, but doesn't 24.181.238.45 Ruthless People? Isn't AFI's catalog more reliable than The Wrap's Powergrid, or at least at the same level of WP:RS? I know we usually replace Box Office Mojo/The Numbers as a budget source when there is a Film L.A. study's source available without really providing any reason (I guess because Film L.A. is known to provide gross budgets instead of ambiguous figures), so I was wondering why a reason would be needed in this case. It's one reliable source's word against the other. So perhaps a budget range would be more appropriate, until we get additional sources confirmation of one of the two figures? Thanks for taking a look and cheers. Punkalyptic (talk) 13:01, 28 April 2018 (UTC)

:Thanks for your message. I think this is something that will need to be addressed by the FilmProject – assuming it hasn't been already. Hi, just to follow up from the Teahouse, in no way did I want to accuse you of edit warring – I haven't looked at the edits in question and thus, of course, have no intention of telling anyone they've done anything wrong in any way. My apologies if it came across that way.
Thank you very much for participating in the Months of African Cinema global contest/edit-a-thon, and thank you for your contributions so far.
It is already the middle of the contest and a lot have been achieved already! We have been able to get over 1,500 articles created in over fifteen (15) languages! This would not have been possible without your support and we want to thank you. If you have not yet listed your name as a participant in the contest page please do so.

Please make sure to list the articles you have created or improved in the article achievements' section of the contest page, so that they can be easily tracked. To be able to claim prizes, please also ensure to list your articles on the users by articles page. Just to familiarize myself further, is the oxford comma not used in British English? I've never heard anything about it one way or the other, so this was news to me. MOS:OXFORD doesn't mention anything about it, while the oxford comma page simply says it's used "less often" in British English. The section containing comments from Stephen Heath, even though sourced, are purely subjective editorial comments (and are they noteworthy relevant to the time?). One guy from Berkeleys' published opinion really has no place in the Encyclopedic format of Wikipedia. I've seen hundreds of similar "editorial comments" removed. We would flood Wikipedia with such sourced commentary. You seem very protective of this page with lots of reverts, perhaps this partly your addition. Why do you think this section belongs? The price can't be beat so, on the off chance that you might be interested, I wanted to let you know about it. I hope your friend enjoyed the 2001 book. The next time you are at their place take a look at the end of page 36 and start of 37 (or maybe 37 and 38 I forget which) as there is a little gem of info about a proposed framing device for Dr Strangelove that I had never read about before and it is pretty funny. I was tripped out to think - Okay I was in 3rd grade when they Clarke and Kubrick began their collaboration and had just finished 6th grade when I finally got to see the film. Cheers. ==Over The Edge==
Hello I was contacted by actor Harry Northup about his name taken off on billing. He ask me if I can re-edited his name back in because He mentioned he was actually the adult star in "Over The Edge" apart from Matt Dillons film debut playing one of the youths. A little help over at Wind_River_(film) would be appreciated, if you got the time. I attempted starting a discussion at the talk page. Thank you for looking into it :) Punkalyptic (talk) 01:53, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
:I reverted him and gave him a warning. But, why haven't you been warning him all along? He could be reported to ARV by now and blocked for 24 hours. ---<b style="font-family: Georgia;"><span style="color:#009900">The Old Jacobite</span></b><i style="font-family: Courier New;"><span style="color:#006600">The '45</span></i> 13:05, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
::Thank you for the input. Honestly, this is an area of wikipedia I'm not familiar with, when there are continuous damaging edits, I wasn't really sure which was the typically right order of steps to take; Start a discussion at the article's talk page, ask an admin to intervene, leave a warning comment at his/her page, or report him/her - and do I have the right to? Apologies, I just didn't want to overstep my boundaries/privileges. Punkalyptic (talk) 13:44, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
:::It's nothing to apologize for. Every registered editor has the right to warn another editor who is being disruptive. I turned on an extension that creates a link at the top of the page that makes giving warnings easy. You can find it under preferences on your user page. ---<b style="font-family: Georgia;"><span style="color:#009900">The Old Jacobite</span></b><i style="font-family: Courier New;"><span style="color:#006600">The '45</span></i> 13:48, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
::::Yes, thank you. I have it enabled, I just hadn't used the warning/ARV features. How many warnings before reporting to ARV do you figure? Or, I suppose, is it on a case by case basis? Doctor_Harablert reverted you by the way :P (edit: he also removed a past vandalism warning from his talk page, I don't know if that is allowed) Punkalyptic (talk) 16:11, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
:::::You should go all the way through the 4 warning levels before reporting to ARV. I will revert and warn him again. He's going to find himself blocked very soon. ---<b style="font-family: Georgia;"><span style="color:#009900">The Old Jacobite</span></b><i style="font-family: Courier New;"><span style="color:#006600">The '45</span></i> 00:46, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
:::::An admin has already stepped in and warned him for edit-warring. If he doesn't change his behavior, he'll be blocked. He has yet to provide any reason for removing that name, either in an edit summary or on the talk page, nor has he responded on his talk page. This might be a case of WP:NOTTHERE, which is really frowned on. ---<b style="font-family: Georgia;"><span style="color:#009900">The Old Jacobite</span></b><i style="font-family: Courier New;"><span style="color:#006600">The '45</span></i> 00:49, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
::::::I guess his 3-reverts-in-a-day was what triggered an admin to step in. I actually wasn't aware of this rule, glad I stopped at two. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. Have a nice day! Punkalyptic (talk) 04:54, 1 July 2018 (UTC)

The page had already been protected by Ad Orientem and there was no discussion on the talk page, or indeed anywhere outside of the typical Twinkle boilerplate, plus your AIV report indicates ownership issues. In future, I suggest leaving a note on the talk page (examples here, here) so at least we can tell you are trying to resolve things and not just shout people down. ::Are you fucking kidding me? The user I reported repeatedly vandalized the article, often using IPs to do it. So, yes, I reverted him, as any sane editor would. The request for page protection was approved because of those edits and the fact that the user made the same edits again, using his registered account, indicated he had learned nothing from the previous warnings. This is beyond ridiculous. ---<b style="font-family: Georgia;"><span style="color:#009900">The Old Jacobite</span></b><i style="font-family: Courier New;"><span style="color:#006600">The '45</span></i> 17:08, 4 July 2018 (UTC)

:I do believe that you felt that you were doing the right thing and I won't be "that admin" and scold you about it all. However, I do agree that the reverts went overboard and that you should have sought assistance from others instead of repeatedly reverting it yourself, and I also question your statement made here at AIV - "they weren't allowed to change it"? Where is this stated at? I don't think the edits were vandalism (remember - AGF; this may just be someone whose confused and thinks that they're doing the right thing, too...), but I do see the use of different IPs and the sudden registration and use of an account as potentially disruptive as well but again, this still AGF territory... Look, if you promise to cool it down with the reverts (and only if you promise to do so), I'll ping Ritchie333 and ask for his blessing to grant your unblock request.
