In reality, throughout the entire ancient literature, Palaeste is only mentioned twice in passing (by Lucan and Caesar), and only within the context of Caesar's civil war; it was never associated with either Epirotes or Illyrians. It was most likely a mere cove/bay, which is how it is described by some modern scholars. Personally, i have no problem with the Illyrian origin of the name being mentioned. undo
