In Part I, we took a bird’s-eye view of the planet dances for 2017 and the significance of the four eclipses for this year. In this commentary we’ll look further into the planet tracks and meanings as to how to better navigate the changes in store for this year.
As we move on into 2017, we’ll find some new developments in the mix- some of which are in tow with a few of the major turning points of 2016. In light of the 2016 shifts, particularly in areas of communications and the impulses for developing critical thinking, Ill try to condense this material to highlight, what we can anticipate for this coming year, as not unlike part I, there is a lot of information to consider!

In light of the 2016 shifts, particularly in areas of communications and the impulses for developing critical thinking, I’ll try to condense these postings to highlight, or thumbnail, what we can anticipate for this coming year. For this posting we’ll look at the overall planet climate for the year and the four eclipses that will occur as to their importance.

With so many unfolding events of recent months and per the commentary I made and on the Mutable Crunch- that alignment of several heavies (Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune) coming into sharp focus in June and September, and more recently in December; I’ll add a few comments here to close out this year’s extravaganza. Sadly, the flow of these events appears to be on the less optimistic side, despite a number of memes floating across the web of more people ‘waking up’.

In the previous post with the introductory comments on the emerging Mutable T-Square/Grand Cross of 2016 that I’d refer to as the Mutable Crunch, I presented some of the significance of this alignment to a similar one in the Spring of 2014. To add some insights for the reader as to some of the actual meanings for these type patterns along with the dynamics, as a sort of ‘astrology class’, it looked like splitting this commentary would make it a little easier to understand. So in this post I’ll add a few more items of importance as to the planets paired together into this crunch pattern. Then we can examine some additional important factors to consider, and how/where these influences will take shape in the personal charts, as well as what to anticipate relative to larger global, collective, and Earth-related shifts.

In my previous post about the influences for 2016, I made mention of the retrograde passage of Mars from April to the end of June 2016, and the developing alignment of Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune culminating in late May through mid June as what we regard as a Mutable T-Square. And within that material I also made mention of a tic-toc passage of Mercury, per his present retrograde passage through Taurus as he aligns several times to ‘face off’ with Mars in his retrograde and re-directed track through late Scorpio.
These influences represent a significant, if not major, turning point for making big adjustments, buckling down, and maintaining focus over the late Spring months and early Summer. With this in mind, I’ll add some commentary here as to what we can anticipate at both the personal and Mundane/collective levels, and how this transition period ties into longer, broader flows along our respective paths.

At the beginning of each of the past few years I’ve jumped back onto the blog to comment on the influences in play and taking shape for that year. This year, 2016, holds some rather interesting turns in the Cosmic road map, relative to previous years; yet reveals a development of past yearly patterns that are coming into focus (sic), from 2016 and into the next 24-30 months. And this year’s trends look more like a split between what lessons and events are in store for the first half of 2016, versus the last half of 2016; a sort of shift in the playing field, emphasizing different avenues by which we must navigate. So for this installment, I’ll share a few of what I feel are the most significant trends that we need to look into and understand.

As part of the foundation material I’ve presented here in past postings, one of the more viewed topics has been about understanding the subdivisions of the signs; as trinities of decans or decanates (quadruplicities); and of ongoing interest- the topic of dwads, or duads. I posted an article on the Astro-Ref blog with a simple, basic formula you can do with a hand calculator to compute the dwads, either on the fly, or when you happen to be without any sort of programs to do it.
Having posted that article, it still gets the most reads at that blog. And more importantly, on occasions, I’ve taken a peek at some of the places that refereed visitors to the blog; most of which were forum threads on Dwads and Dwad charts. Since that time, I’ve seen some pretty mixed discussions on dwads; some interesting, some rather outrageous, and some that are simply as if the discussion is fumbling around in the dark.
So, in light of this (pun intended), it appears that some additional material be posted regarding blog charts. As the memorable Clint Eastwood used to say; ‘We can do it the easy way, or the hard way….” And unfortunately it appears that quite a few folks would much rather have the easy way; even if that approach may grossly miss the mark.

In the last post, we took a look at the Total Solar Eclipse of March 20th, along with the chart for the Sun’s Spring (Vernal Ingress) entry into Aries. I made some historical references per the series of past Total Solar Eclipses in this last degree of Pisces, as to how we might connect a few historical dots, and as to what trends and influences were represented in past events. This is essentially an indicator for more wisely understanding and navigating the present eclipse in this same area- the last degree of Pisces, where we can examine our dreams, ideals, and hopes, with some eye on how these dreams might be fulfilled into some new cycle of experience, or ‘becoming.’
The Aries ingress chart adds a more local flavor, from the perspective of the timing, or unfolding of the four or so years influences per Pisces eclipse; meaning that we gain some insights, or some finer details, as to how the Eclipse chart ties into the next three months for all of us.
The Total Lunar Eclipse of April 4th adds another set of factors into the dynamic of these previous two, significant charts. So let’s take a brief look at this up and coming Lunar Eclipse to see what it holds.

In the first installment of re-visiting the construct of the Ides Of March, we examined some of the more significant planet events highlighting the month of March 2015; in particular from a cycles point of view emphasizing the final Uranus-Pluto square and the Mars-Uranus cycle that ensued as a trigger effect into this cyclic pattern. This also took into account some historical background on this last series of Cycles that ushered in the events of the great depression of the 1920’s – 1930’s and the upheavals leading into the second World War. And in tow with these cycles we took a a peek at the March Full Moon chart that spotlighted these planet dances, with an eye as to how these dances would play out for the two week period following this March Full Moon.
In this post, we’ll take a look at the two remaining spotlight events for the month: the Total Solar Eclipse of March 20th, followed by the Vernal Spring Ingress of the Sun’s entry into Aries. I’ll also make some comments on the Total Lunar Eclipse of April 4, 2015, that will be following these two main events for March.

When I began this blog, it was at a time when a number of major planet shifts were in progress, including the much-buzzed Cardinal Crisis; but also a number of other events which were in synch with several major Solar Eclipses of recent years. Over the past year or two, a lot of Cardinal ‘tracks’ or events have come into focus. And as the Spring (Vernal) Equinox occurs around March of each year, I posted an item back in the Spring of 2010 which I regarded as ‘The Ides Of March’ as a reference to the famous passage in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar (beware the ides of March!).
This theme prevailed with the early passage of the slower planets (Saturn through Pluto) in early Cardinal Signs and with this quartet of planets being emphasized in the Spring months, with the Vernal Ingress of the Sun in Aries, aligning with these planets. At that time, I played into these slower Cycles and a couple of doozie eclipses as to their portending the accelerating and increasing flurry of changes that we’ve experienced since then.
This month of March 2015 bears some note in regard to past commentary, as again the very close, and final, square between Uranus and Pluto becomes energized, activated, or ‘triggered’ with the passage of Mars, Venus, and the Sun through Aries. As also made mention per discussions on Cycles, Mars’ (approximate) two year cycle with Uranus springs forth this month, in tow with a hard square aspect to Pluto; but with an interesting ‘twist’ as the passage of planets through Aries this time also makes a favorable (trine) connect with Jupiter in Leo.
So let’s take a quick snapshot of this month’s passages, as a reminder and possible portent of how our world is shaping up as we enter into a very precarious phase of history; what with a seven year window coming to pass from some of the financial fallout that occurred in the Fall of 2008.
