I’m a long-time comic book reader who started collecting sketches in August, 2006. I lacked the creativity to effectively describe the type of sketch I desired (A.K.A. laziness) so I took the easy way out and set (very) simple ground rules.

I just wanted to ask you something. I was looking for art to use as a tattoo design, and was Googling pics of Death from the Sandman comics. As most of the images are panels from comics I was just planning to credit the artist and not worry about it. I found this sketch from your site:

And thought it was pretty much perfect, so started basing my tattoo around it. It then occured to me to check who the artist was, and I realised it was a sketch someone had paid for. So I wanted to ask: how would you feel about me getting a tattoo of it? The picture in its entirety would make up most of the tattoo, I was just planning to replace the skull with the Death of Rats from Terry Pratchett’s books.
I don’t want to get this done without asking – you paid for it, so you own it. But I hope you’re OK with it because it’s a great design for a tattoo.

That’s great news, thanks. Mahmud responded to my request straight away and I have his permission. I’m getting the tattoo on the 1st of October and I’ll get a pic before it’s wrapped up.
Here’s the tattoo. I couldn’t get a pic of it when it had just been done, as the shading had gone red and she looked like she’d been beaten up! But it’s healed now, so I’ve managed to get a picture.
