Look to Southern Yellow Pine for a Sustainable Future
For this project, @cluckdesign set out to pay homage to the historic rough-hewn log cabins of the area, but in a modern and sustainable way. "We achieved this through the inclusion of Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) wood panels used as a structural roof, one of the first of its kind in Charlotte.", and the CLT is crafted from Southern Yellow Pine. CLT is a sustainable building material made from layers of timber glued together at right angles. Wood is a renewable resource, and using CLT can contribute to sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices. Just one more reason to consider Wood. It's Real. Learn more about commercial Southern Yellow Pine projects at wooditsreal.com.
