The Dinosaur Bone pendant is approximately 1.5 inches in length and 0.9 inches in width on natural black polished round leather. The necklace is adjustable from 15 inches to 30 inches by sliding the knots. The lower (red) stone is polished and the upper bead is rough. High quality agatized dinosaur bone specimens found in the four corners region of the Colorado Plateau can be traced back to dinosaurs that roamed the earth during the late Jurassic Age around 150 million years ago. Gem quality petrified dinosaur bone specimens are among the rarest fossils in the world. Non-gem grade fossilized dinosaur bones are found in many places around the world but highly agatized and beautifully colored & patterned dinosaur bone is almost exclusively found in portions of the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado.
