It is Centre for Contemporary Photography’s 25th Anniversary this year and they are staging an exhibition of work by renowned Australian artist Patricia Piccinini, which will be the major event in the celebrations. Piccinini has generously created a new series of framed photographs as a fundraiser, that will provide a vital injection of funds for CCP. The exhibition will open from Friday 12 August, 6-8pm. Playing with color channels to produce monotone/duotone images, holograms, glitches, and image distortions was identified as a design trend for 2019, in addition to double exposures. Using transparency to overlay multiple exposures of the same subject allows designers to explore alternate expressions, build a multi-level story, and create movement.
