Ground orchids are generally not bothered by pests or diseases. The leaves bleach out or turn yellowish in hot, sunny, dry conditions, and very wet locations can cause root rot.

Even though it's called a "ground orchid," this one is growing in a pot and is doing very well. The Grapette Ground Orchid (Spathoglottis unguiculata) 'Grapette' is a beautiful, small terrestrial orchid with deep purple flowers one-inch across with a yellow fringed lip.
