Arch Freaks on Instagram: "Via @jespersen_noedtvedt Case study model exploring ideas of rational construction methods with pre-manufactured roof elements in wood, in this case in an extension of a traditional Danish farmhouse. The construction is dimensioned according to available sizes of 3-layer panels, and all joints between the elements occur on the backside of the frame construction, ensuring precise construction with significant tolerances. The assembly method is inspired by the way inexpensive industrial halls are constructed with steel frames and pre-manufactured roof and facade cassettes, but is adapted to a more tactile timber construction.
