- La Tunda es, en la mitología de la región del Pacífico sur colombiano y Pacífico norte ecuatoriano, especialmente entre la comunidad afrodescendiente, una mujer monstruo con similitudes con un vampiro que atrae a las personas hacia los bosques y los retiene cautivos allí. A veces adopta la forma de un ser querido, como parecerse a la madre de un niño, con lo que logra atraer al niño hacia el bosque, allí los alimenta con langostinos que ha desarrollado (camarones peídos) para así mantener a sus víctimas dóciles en una especie de estado de trance. Esto es denominado entundamiento y se dice que una persona se encuentra entundado(a). Las comunidades temen mucho a esta visión, como se le llama, y para que devuelvan a los niños que fueron entundados, realizan rituales afros, se reúnen con los padrinos y llevan el bombo con cánticos alegres, eso hace que la tunda se aleje y deje a sus víctimas libres.. El escritor ecuatoriano Adalberto Ortiz recrea la leyenda como parte de la trama de su cuento La entundada (1971). la moraleja de esta leyenda es que debemos ser educados repetosos , personas con valores y no confiar en personas desconocidas (es)
- Tunda adalah makhluk mirip vampir dalam cerita rakyat Kolombia. Tunda berwujud seorang perempuan yang mengajak orang masuk ke dalam hutan lalu memerangkap mereka di sana. Terkadang Tunda muncul sebagai orang terkasih. Tunda mampu membuat korbannya menjadi tidak sadarkan diri, korban dalam keadaan itu disebut entundado(a). Tunda tidak terlalu sempurna dalam perubahan wujudnya sehingga kadang-kadang memiliki kaki kayu, namun Tunda pandai menyembunyikan hal ini dari calon korbannya. Dalam beberapa kisah, Tunda menyamar sebagai perempuan cantik dan merayu para pemburu atau tukang kayu sebelum akhirnya mengisap darah atau memakan mereka. (in)
- The Tunda (Spanish: La Tunda) is a myth of the Pacific coastal region of Colombia and Ecuador, and particularly in the Afro-Colombian community of the Chocó department, about a shapeshifting entity, resembling a human female, that lures people into the forests and keeps them there. It is capable of changing its shape to appear in the form of a loved one, as in the likeness of a child's mother, to lure its victims into the forest and feed them with shrimps (camarones peneídos) to keep them docile. This is called entundamiento and a person in this state is entundado(a). Her shapeshifting abilities are said to be imperfect, as this doppelgänger of sorts would always have a wooden leg in the shape of a molinillo, or wooden kitchen utensil used to stir hot drinks such as chocolate or aguapanela. The monster, however, is very cunning when trying to hide this defect from its would-be victims. In other versions, it appears to male loggers or hunters working deep into the jungle as a beautiful woman that tries to lure a man away, so it can reveal its hideous nature and suck his blood and drink it or devour him as a wild animal like bears.
