Glassies - U.S. - Wheeling Peachblow

Wheeling is NOT a company. Wheeling Peachblow is a colour and technique of production. This glass was produced by Hobbs Brockunier & Co. beginning in 1886, in Wheeling, W.V. (hence the Wheeling part of the name) Wheeling Peachblow was actually Amberina plated over a white glass, this enriched the colour of the items and lent an opacity to the material. Versions of "Peachblow" from other sources were not produced to this standard and were not nearly as popular.
