Three Native American Chiefs served as models for the composite image, carved by James Earle Fraser: Iron Tail (Lakota), Two Moons(Cheyenne), and Big Tree (Kiowa).

Southwestern cast sterling silver and turquoise oval bolo tie. There is no artist's hallmark on this piece. "Sterling" is stamped on the back of the bolo. The bolo is cast in a beautiful Navajo-style design with a center turquoise accent stone. The stone measures 11.5mm long by 10.5mm wide. The bolo measures 3 3/16" tall by 2 3/8" wide. Bolo Tie by Carson Blackgoat
Vintage sterling silver bolo tie. The back of the bolo is stamped "Carson B." (Carson Blackgoat, Navajo). The bolo face is 2 5/8" tall by 2 1/8" wide. The design features fine stampwork and a domed center. The repousse diamond shape is a nice touch. The cord and tips are 38" long. The tips are guaranteed sterling silver. The bolo is in good condition with some natural patina.

Huge Santo Domingo Pueblo Thunderbird Bolo
This Kewa thunderbird bolo is a 2023 reproduction of the "battery birds" of the Depression Era. It was made by Kewa artist Robert Rosette, using a vintage LP album as the backing. The original battery birds came out of The Great Depression, when materials were scarce and artists in the pueblo used plastics from vinyl batteries and LPs in place of some of their standard materials, such as black onyx and coral. This piece uses many of those same materials.
