[edit]DescriptionSydney Town Hall - 2011 Christmas illumination (6547513371).jpg |
Sydney Town Hall illuminated for Christmas 2011. Images are projected from the building across the street. Sydney Town Hall was built on the site of the colony's first cemetery. The foundation stone was laid in 1868, before the transfer of land to the City Council had even passed. Construction using local sandstone quarried from nearby Pyrmont took place in stages between 1868 and 1889. www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/sydneytownhall/building-histo... |
