Description
Deutsch: Das Niemitz- Haus in der Hamburger Altstadt am Georgsplatz 16 wurde nach dem Großen Brand von 1842 gebaut. Der Apotheker Niemitz kaufte es 1848 und das Gebäude blieb bis 1906 im Familienbesitz. Architektonisch orientiert es sich an der Frührenaissance von Venedig und Florenz. Zur Zeit wird es von einem Restaurant genutzt. Auf Höhe des oberen Stockwerks befindet sich die Skulptur des Heiligen Georgs.
