Description	Deutsch: Observatorium zur Vermessung des Simplontunnels, Weingartenstrasse, Naters VS, Schweiz: Observatorium Nord in der Verlängerung der Tunnelachse (Achspunkt). Mit Absteckungstheodoliten konnte direkt in den Richtstollen hineinvisiert werden. Zusätzlich wurden astronomische Beobachtungen durchgeführt, um die Ergebnisse der Triangulation zu verifizieren.
