[edit]DescriptionMarquois Scales.jpg |
English: Example of Marquois scales, a mathematical drawing instrument of widespread use in Britain in the 19th century. This set is by Stanley of London for H. M. Government. Seen at top is the case of drawing instruments with the Marquois scales stored in the lower layer. Seen below is the Marquois scales themselves, which consist of two rulers (each with multiple scales) and a right-angle triangle with sides at a 3:1 ratio, made of boxwood. |
