English: The grave of René Dôl, who ran the shipping company "Transitcongo" in Eastern Africa and was considered in diplomatic circles as a "confidante" of the French intelligence service, according to reports by the US Embassy in Uganda (NACP RG 59 GRDS, SNF, 1970-73, Entry 1613, Box 1797). Five years after the death of his wife Therese (1892-1968), Dôl became ordained as a Catholic priest. He died in 1974 and was buried at the Nsambya Roman Catholic Cemetery in Kampala. |
