Deutsch: Nach Jesu Tod, so erzählte man, wurde Maria Magdalena von Feinden des Christentums mit ihren Brüdern in einem steuerlosen Schiff auf dem Mittelmeer ausgesetzt. Der Wind trieb sie nach Saint-Maries-de-la-Mer. Maria Magdalena verbrachte ihre letzten Lebensjahre in Südfrankreich als Einsiedlerin unter wilden Tieren. Zum Schutz ließ Gott der Büßerin ein Fell wachsen.
