Description
Deutsch: Die Festung Marienberg liegt oberhalb von Würzburg in Bayern. Um 1200 wurde eine erste Burganlage erbaut und im Laufe der Geschichte mehrfach um- und ausgebaut. Die Festung diente den Würzburger Fürstbischof von 1253 bis 1719 als Residenz. Flächenmäßig zählt die Festung zu den größten in Europa.
