Brief Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy an den Verleger C. R. Wessel in London. Berlin 4.III.1844. „... Die Lieder ohne Worte 5tes Heft hatte ich inzwischen schon im Manuscript an Hn. Ewer & Co geschickt, und ebenso ist es mir unmöglich die Versprechungen unerfüllt zu lassen, welche ich diesen Herrn in andrer Beziehung gegeben habe. Alle diese und andre Dinge hoffte ich aber mit Ihnen mündlich besprechen zu können, da ich mich entschlossen habe London in diesem Frühjahr wieder zu besuchen, und einige Monate dort zu verweilen, und ich kann Ihnen gar nicht genug sagen, wie sehr ich mich auf diese Zeit freue und wieviel Vergnügen ich mir davon verspreche ...“ |
