Chapter XXI. De metro iambico tetametro of the Venerable Bede's De Arte Metrica in a manuscript from the monastery of St Gallen, Cod. Sang. 876 (p 252). The text starts:

Metrum iambicum tetrametrum recipit iambum locis omnibus, spondeum tantum locis imparibus. Quo scriptus est hymnus Sedulii,
A solis ortus cardine,
Ad usque terrae limitem
referring to the hymn A solis ortus cardine of Sedulius.
