Blazon InfoField | Deutsch: Der Gemeinde ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten vom 12.08.1974 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden. „Halb gespalten und geteilt von Gold (Gelb), Silber (Weiß) und Blau; vorn oben in Gold (Gelb) ein rotbewehrter und bezungter schwarzer Löwe, hinten in Silber (Weiß) ein durchgehendes schwarzes Balkenkreuz; unten in Blau sechs (3:2:1) silberne (weiße) Seeblätter.“
Der Löwe signalisiert die ehemalige Zugehörigkeit zum Herzogtum Jülich, das schwarze Balkenkreuz ist das Symbol für das Kurfürstentum Köln. Die sechs silbernen (weißen) Seerosenblätter auf blauem Grund waren das Wappen der Herren "von Ahe", später "von Nechtersheim". English: „The arms were granted on August 12, 1974. The lower part of the new arms is taken from the old arms of Nettersheim. The upper part shows the lion of Jülich and the cross of Köln, both the Dukes of Jülich and the Archbishops of Köln held part of the area.“ |
