Object history
Deutsch: Der sitzende schwarze Bär im goldenen Schild bildete ursprünglich das Wappen des vom 12. bis zum 15. Jahrhundert nachweisbaren Ortsadelsgeschlechts der Herren von Nellingen, eines Zweigs der Herren von Bernstadt und von Reußenstein. Auf einen Vorschlag der Archivdirektion Stuttgart vom Jahr 1918 hat die Gemeinde dieses Wappen übernommen. Im Jahre 1980 führte sie eine einheitliche Wappenstilisierung für den dienstlichen Gebrauch ein. Das Landratsamt Alb-Donau-Kreis hat die Flagge am 26. Oktober 1981 verliehen.
