For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Der höchste Pilgerort der Welt !
In Unter-Italien, in der Nähe Neapels befindet sich die höchste Pilgerstätte der Welt. Man hat auf der Spitz des Berges ein 30 m hohes Kreuz, welches weit in das Land hinein sichtbar ist, errichtet. Zehntausende von Gläubigen pilgern alljährlich zu diesem Kreuz.
