| Description |
English: Black Hill Wind turbines on Black Hill. A small spruce plantation was felled during the construction of the turbines. Plenty of fuel for them today - a very cold wind.
Black Hill Wind Farm was granted planning Permission by The Scottish Borders Council on 2nd July 2001. The wind farm consists of 22 turbines of 1.3 MW rating, with an overall tip height of 78m. Construction work on the project commenced in November 2005 and became operational in February 2007. |
