Deutsch: Bildnis der Susanne Passavant (1681-1760), Tochter des Frankfurter Kaufmanns Rudolf Emanuel Passavant, seit 1708 verheiratet mit Engelbert Wichelhausen. Engelbert Wichelhausen wurde 1679 als Sohn des Peter Wichelhausen geboren, der in Barmen als Schöffe tätig war. 1702 übersiedelte er nach Bremen, wo er als angesehener Kaufmann eine Karriere durchlief, die ihn sowohl in das Kollegium der Elterleute (1721) als auch in den Senat der Hansestadt (1737) führte. 1708 heiratete er Susanne Passavant (1681-1760), eine Tochter des Frankfurter Kaufmanns Rudolph Erdmann Passavant, mit der er elf Kinder bekam. Engelbert Wichelhausen, dessen Familie in den folgenden Generationen mehrere Bremer Senatoren und einen Bürgermeister stellte, begründete damit einen Familienzweig, der in der Hansestadt ähnliche Führungspositionen einnahm, wie die Stammfamilie in Barmen und Wuppertal. Hochbetagt ist Engelbert Wichelhausen 1761 gestorben.
