Français : Vestige des remparts de la ville, édifiés au XIIIème siècle et améliorés au XIVème, appelée également "arche des Grands Prés" elle était la porte est de la ville par où entraient les pèlerins de St Jacques de Compostelle avant la construction de la porte chartraine, à l'entrée de la rue du change. Equipée d'une herse, elle était flanquée de deux tours de défense, la première dite "de la porte parisienne" encore visible et la seconde, disparue , dite "des Cordeliers". L'apport de machicoulis s'est fait au XVème siècle.
