  • Built 1975 by Schichau Unterweser Werft, Bremerhaven.
  • Named European Gateway for Townsend Car Ferries.
  • On December 19th, 1982 the European Gateway had been hit midships by the Speedlink Vanguard, and capsized short after. the water depth was so that half of the vessel was above the water, later lot of it was broken due to the waves. After up righting the European Gateway was towed to ijmuiden by Wijsmuller a tug at very slow speed on march 31 1983.
