Summary
English: The notebook computer is connected via radio waves to the wireless access point (seen in the background), which in turn is connected to the internet or a LAN (Local Area Network). Computers connected via the LAN/WLAN can interact with each other. The wireless devices need to have a WiFi adapter, such as the card protruding from the notebook computer (though more commonly the adapter is built-in these days).
