Despite its resemblance, Glomerida (up) is an order of Myriapoda, while the species below belongs to Isopoda, an order of Crustacea. The main difference is that Glomerida, as other Diplopoda, has two pair of legs in each segment, while Isopoda only has one. Jamilbaza | In this picture, the same larva was exposed to light microscopy (bottom) and fluorescent microscopy (top), allowing for the observation of a larva and its internal organs under normal light as well as the location of the Engrailed protein under fluorescent microscopy. Spider kills a grasshopper in the Amazon (Región Pastaza, Ecuador). Juan de Dios Franco Navarro | Mycena seynesii is a good example of what happends in nature. Many fungi organisms use the lignine and celullose present in leaves, branches, trunks or pinecones to feed themselves helping the ecosystem cleaning the ground, acting as sweepers. In this photo we see the "fruit" or reproductive organ of this mushroom, because when it has eaten enough its a good moment to move away to another pinecone. Juan Antonio Picado Méndez | The beauty of a spider web woven in a wire hole is amazing. The image was captured by taking advantage of the light of dawn reflected in the drops suspended on the fabric with a background of a storm sky. Carmeneyes21
