2 sticks butter
11/4 cup sugar
11/2 cup self-rising flour
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
3/4 cup milk
Mix: 1 cup sugar
6 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 cups boiling hot water goes on top of cobbler. The water is not mixed with anything.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In 9x13 glass dish melt two sticks of butter in oven.
In a bowl mix 1 1/4 cup of sugar, flour, vanilla and milk.
Pour batter evenly in melted butter ( NO STIRRING).
In a separate Bowl mix cocoa and sugar and sprinkle on top of batter without stirring.
Pour 2 cups of boiling water evenly on top (don't stir). Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.
This recipe is decadent. This recipe is definitely a hit. You can serve vanilla ice cream on top, but I can't imagine it being any better. Thanks Christina for sharing.
