We aren’t meant to be

Maybe the timing was off. If we'd met in another world at a different time, we might've made a great pair. But unfortunately, it's not gonna happen in this dimension. You & I aren't meant to be here. It was already decided by the experiences we went through and the things we taught ourselves about ourselves! So it's not our fault. This is the way it was destined to be from the very start. At least that's what I tell myself to lessen the weight of regret, of not being able to hold you close.
