I'm not okay with that 😂 I decided to try this DIY velvet ornaments tutorial to get the look....and it works! These ornaments don't feel like velvet, but they sure look pretty 😍 

I used two coats of paint on a plastic ornament. Left the second coat wet, and covered with baking soda. Then waited for it to dry, and wiped it off. Boom and done and beautiful ❤️

I have been on the hunt for some big red velvet flocked Christmas ornaments but haven’t had any luck so I thought I’d see what I could do with these Hobby Lobby finds! All you need is:Ornaments (any shape or color you have on hand)Craft Paint (any color you like…this is so inexpensive)Baking soda (prob already in your fridge)Rub’nBuff (optional)Flour or baking soda (also already on hand)Cheap artist brushesRibbon (optional for hanging)I love how these turned out and it was such an easy project!
